A bit about Goral

The makers behind the Brae Boot. (Goral footage)

Goral started in 1936, in a small workshop near Krakow. One master shoemaker, Franciszek Goral, and a family that all mucked in. It grew into a factory and got passed down, generation to generation. It survived years that would have finished most businesses.

In 2005 the family packed up the whole operation and moved it to Sheffield. Craftsmen and all. They've been making proper footwear there ever since, including for some names you'd know. In 2018 they put their own name on the door.

Four generations on, every pair is still built by hand. Resoleable. Made to be repaired, not replaced. Which is exactly why we went to them.
