This is the Brae Boot.
Made with GORAL, a family bootmaker whose shoemaking roots go back to 1936.
We wanted a boot we’d actually wear. Not a fashion boot pretending it once saw a hill. Not something polished once, photographed twice, then hidden in a cupboard.
Full-grain Horween leather. Waxed cotton. Proper weight. Built to soften, crease, mark, and mould to your feet over time.
We’ve tested them properly. Miles in them. Weather on them. Enough use to know they’re not just good-looking.
When the soles eventually go, you don’t bin them. You send them back to GORAL, have them repaired, and carry on.
One good pair. Worn properly. Kept for years.
That’s the point.
A PROPER BOOT. BUILT BY THE BEST.
We didn’t want to just “source” a boot.
We wanted to work with people who actually know how to build one.
GORAL are a family shoemaking business with roots going back to 1936. Today, their boots are handmade in Sheffield.
That matters. Because if we’re putting Bear&Wolf on a boot, it has to be something we’d stand behind years from now. Not just on launch day.
The Brae Boot is completely unique to this collaboration. 100 pairs total. That’s it.

If you’re between sizes, GORAL usually recommend sizing up.
These are proper leather boots, so they’ll feel firm at first. That’s normal. They soften and shape to your feet with wear.
If they don’t fit when they arrive, we’ll work with you to sort a different size.

These boots are built to be worn, not kept clean for the sake of it.
The leather will mark, crease and darken. That’s the point. The waxed cotton will pick up wear too. Same again. Good kit should look like it’s had a life.
They’re weather-resistant when cared for properly, but they’re not a rubber wellie and they’re not a modern membrane hiking boot.
When the soles eventually wear through, they can go back to GORAL for repair.
Use them. Look after them. Keep going.
Meant to be worn.
The Leather
Full-grain Horween leather. It doesn’t stay perfect. Good. It creases, darkens and picks up the marks of where you’ve been.
Repairable for life
Built to be resoled and repaired through GORAL. When the soles go, the boots don’t. They go back to Sheffield and carry on.
The fit
Firm at first. Better with time. They soften, shape and start to feel like yours after proper wear.
