One Trip a Month: Lou’s Big Year of Adventure

If you've spent any time scrolling outdoorsy TikTok or IG lately, chances are you've come across Lou (aka @viewswithlou) hiking up a mountain, sleeping under the stars, or wild swimming in some freezing waterfall you've never heard of.
Lou is a Yorkshire lass through and through, born in Leeds and still based up north, but she's been making some serious moves in 2025. Despite working full-time, she set herself a challenge this year that most people wouldn't dream of:
12 Months. 12 Trips abroad. All while holding down a 9-to-5.
Balancing Adventure and a 9-to-5
“I work full-time, sat at a computer all day,” Lou says, “so this year I wanted to make the most of my weekends and squeeze the absolute life out of my annual leave. I set myself this challenge — a trip abroad every month.”
Sounds amazing, but behind the scenes? It's been chaos.
“The idea is definitely better than the reality,” she laughs. “I’m incredibly last-minute, so planning flights, airport parking, car hire, hikes, accommodation — and shooting and editing content — has been wild. But it’s pushed me, and it’s been incredibly rewarding.”

April - Dolomites Van Trip
May - Ireland
June - Organised and led her own group trip to Slovakia
July - Volcano trekking in Guetemala
August (Planned) - Switzerland
September-December - TBC - But we've no doubt it'll be wild
Each trip has brought something different, new landscapes, new challenges, and plenty of stories. The crazy thing is that she's done it all off her own back, planning everything herself and fitting it around 'normal life'.
I'm particularly fond of Lou not just for what she's doing, but how she does it. Her Instagram is full of honest, down-to-earth storytelling. She has no filter, no fake moments, just a genuine love for the outdoors and the freedom it brings.
Lou + Bear&Wolf?
What a lot of folk don't know is that this isn't our first go at building Bear&Wolf into something special. Back in the early days, we were called The Bear&Wolf Shed, a slightly scrappier version of the same dream, and Lou was amongst the first people to truly back it. At the time, she had maybe half the audience she does now, but her support meant the world. She was genuinely integral to how far we managed to take things that first time around.
We've learned a lot since then (mainly the hard way) but this time we're not going anywhere. Having Lou still by our side, now as a big-time adventure influencer (she will hate I said that!), helping this tiny family brand grow again, says everything about the kind of person she is. Kind, loyal and a true friend of the brand.
We're forever grateful, and can't wait to see where the rest of the year takes you!
